L-EAF’s.org Kanban 4 Kids Certified Educator validates that the holder has attended the full interactive Kanban 4 Kids for Practitioners class, led by a Certified Kanban 4 Kids Trainer.
Kanban 4 Kids provides educators with the skills and tools needed to help students identify, visualize, and improve the Learningflow process.
Rooted in Lean system thinking and just-in-time (JIT) production, where Kanban is used as a scheduling system that tells you what to produce, when to produce it, and how much to produce. Kanban 4 Kids provides students, parents and educators a collaborative space to promote transparency and track the progress of learning.
Students also experience the value of focus, the benefits of system improvement and the joy of self-organization.
Learningflow represents the stages students navigate as they explore and experiment their way to a higher level of understanding.
As the student navigates the Learningflow, they demonstrate to the teacher and each other that they are ready to move the work to the next step. While the process can be circular in nature, when laid out from left to right, starting with Plan, so Learningflow can be visualized.
The Kanban board is a Visual representation of the Learningflow, the steps followed to meet the Learning Objective.
